China’s Growing Influence in Asia and the United States
The Chinese Communist Party commands a vast array of tools to expand and apply its influence. From Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road infrastructure diplomacy, to Soviet-style United Front cooptation programs, to a global propaganda network, these tools reach throughout Asia but also into the United States. In this hearing, the Subcommittee will hear form some of the foremost experts on these influence tools to inform U.S. policy.
