Washington, D.C. Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, issued the following statement on the announcement of agreements with Japan as part of the bilateral consultations regarding Japan joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership:

“The Trans-Pacific Partnership has the potential to open up an important market for American goods and services – supporting exports and job creation in the United States.
