McCaul Statement on Snapback Sanctions Against Iran

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Michael McCaul, Republican Leader on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement on snapback sanctions against Iran. 

“The Administration’s recent actions to impose snapback sanctions were a necessary response to the UN Security Council’s failure to renew the international ban on Iran buying and selling weapons. Russia, China and others will face significant costs if they support Iran’s dangerous, destabilizing activities, as Maduro has. The United States will not allow Iran to access resources that it uses to threaten international peace and security, and I hope our allies and partners will join us in this critical endeavor.”
